TyL Hosting started off in 2004 as a service provided by twirpinEnterprises. We strive to provide high-quality free hosting.
The History
TyL.CC was purchased 4-17-2005. It originally started as Hosting[at]Twirp.Net as a sub-domain. We shortly out grew a Hosting[at]Twirp.Net and noticed people were starting to get intrested and liked what we provided. Sadly, we could not meet everyone's wants, so we tried to provide more. We moved up to a reseller account in order to provide our users with more control and features. One major problem we noticed was that people didn't like how long some of our hostees domains wound up being. We thought that something.twirp.net looked to bulky and may not allow our hostees to advertise their sites that well. So we searched and searched so we could find a shorter domain for people to be hosted under. We saw uni.cc and thought that it was short and sweet, so we started to search for easy to remember 3 letter domains with the .cc extension. We picked TyL (pronounced tail) and a lot of people accepted it. We now host quite a few people and hope to help more find hosting that they will fall in love with, even if it's not us.
